Chicago barbershops open late for the sharpest hour of your week

A haircut takes forty minutes. What we really sell is the hour around it: no phone, a hot towel, and the city going blue outside the window.

The hour between day and night is yours

Regulars

Daniel, a regular, in the chair

Daniel

“Eight years with Walt in Logan Square. I moved to Evanston and I still take the train down every three weeks. That should tell you enough.”
Chris, a regular, in the chair

Chris

“Booked the last chair at 8:15 after a terrible day. Hot towel, no small talk unless I wanted it, best fade I've had in years.”
Kenji, a regular, in the chair

Kenji

“Nadia actually listened when I said I wanted it to grow out well, not just look good on day one. Six weeks later it still sits right.”
Omar, a regular, in the chair

Omar

“The razor line-up on my beard is the reason my wife lets me keep the beard. Mateo is an artist and the shop smells incredible.”
Gerald, a regular, in the chair

Gerald

“Clean, calm and they remember how I like my sideburns. The West Loop room with the old beams is a pleasure to sit in.”
Liam, a regular, in the chair

Liam

“First proper barbershop I've been to. They showed me the back in a hand mirror and I said wow out loud. Booked the next one in the app on the way out.”

Visiting & contact

Five shops: Logan Square, Wicker Park, West Loop, Pilsen and Andersonville. Every address and its hours is on the shop's page.

Call the shop directly; every number is on its page and in the app. For anything else, write to hello@bluehourbarbers.example.

Yes, when a chair is free. Bookings come first, so the app is the surest way to sit down when you want.

Often. Send your portfolio and the shop you'd like to work in to jobs@bluehourbarbers.example.

Gift cards & support

No. Buy them in any shop or in the app, for any amount.

Talk to the shop manager or write to us; we answer within a day and we'll fix the cut for free within seven days.

Of course. Kids cuts are for under-12s and we have booster seats in every shop.

Yes: the pomades, clays and balms we use on the chair are on the shelf by the door.

Services & prices

Prices on the site are before Illinois sales tax, which is added at checkout.

Coffee, water and sparkling water, always. After 6 pm we pour a small whiskey for over-21s who'd like one.

Our longest service: cut, straight-razor shave, hot towel and scalp massage, 75 minutes.

Every Classic Cut includes a wash. For other services, add a wash and style for $20.

Booking & cancelling

No, but it's the only way to be sure of your barber and your time.

Cancel or move up to two hours before, free, in the app or by phone.

We charge half the service price on a no-show, so the chair can go to someone else next time.

The last booking of the day in every shop. It always comes with a hot towel, on us.
